Schedule and Events

KiScon 2004 will be using four function rooms on the first floor of the hotel for panels, videos, reading and dealing.  We'll also present the art show and conduct the art auction here.  The Hospitality Suite is on the fourth floor; it features a grand piano, a huge dining room table for work space, lots of comfy seating and a small kitchenette area.

1.  Programming in the Panel Room.

KiScon 2004 offers a full schedule of workshops, panels and presentations in our Panel Room.  If you've got a topic that you are eager to have discussed, please let us know by writing to kiscon2004@aol.com.  Panels will run 50 minutes, and the length of the workshop will be determined by the subject matter.  Suggesting a topic doesn't obligate you to actually serve on the panel, so suggest away!

2.  Videos

The Holiday Inn offers a stadium seating theater so that viewing videos and movies is comfortable and enjoyable.  The con will feature a full schedule of movies, shows, videos and lots more.  If you've got a special request – for example, some obscure movie that Leonard Nimoy starred in or perhaps a television show featuring the young and adorable William Shatner – please let us know at kiscon2004@aol.com and we will do our best to track it down.

3.  The Reading Room

The Reading Room will be stocked with more than 300 K/S zines and whatever Gen zines are requested that we can find.  Plus we'll bring in magazines, articles, newspaper clippings….  Whatever might be of interest to the K/S fan.

4.  The Dealer's Room

The last two KiScons offered a full and varied Dealer's Room, and we hope to do the same in 2004.  We'll feature an Orphan Zine table, new K/S zines, new collectibles offered by local merchants, and other collectibles that will thrill the collector in you.  From prints of original artwork (the prints by Jean Kluge at the last KiScon sold out in the blink of an eye) to songvideos (you haven't lived until you have your own vid copy of Chris Soto's I Dreamed a Dream) to the latest articulated action figure offered by the Powers That Be – you won't want to miss the Dealer's Room.

5.   Parties and Meals

Feel free to schedule your own party, but the con has scheduled one for you, too.  Our Friday Night Birthday Party will feature a cake dedicated to Kirk and Spock, beverages, fun, and games.  Prizes of all sorts offered here!  Our first of three planned all-con gatherings, so don't miss it!

Saturday morning breakfast.  Please join us for a leisurely start to our day as we offer a simple morning meal in the Con Suite to get us started.  In just minutes the dealer's room will open, so we need our energy!

Saturday Evening Dress Uniform Dinner:  A touch of elegance in our celebration of those two most elegant Starfleet officers.  This catered meal with wine is included in your registration, as are the Friday night party and the Saturday breakfast.  Come to dinner wearing your best formal dress, come in your Sunday-go-to-meeting clothes, come in your slinky pajamas, come as an Orion slave dancer, come as a proper Starfleet commander in your dress uniform, just don't come in your jeans and t-shirt!  We're trying to dress up here…even if outrageously!  Prizes will go to the best costumes and/or the most glamour arrays.  Strut your stuff!

6.  Art Auction

The Art Show will be on display throughout Friday and Saturday, but on Sunday morning the serious bidding begins.  Come prepared to see some truly gorgeous artwork from the top artists in our fandom.

7.  And there's lots more!  Come to KiScon 2004 and see….
