ORPHAN ZINES

What's a convention without a home for orphan zines?  KiScons 1 and 2 did a thriving business in gently used and gently read zines, and we hope to do the same in 2004. 

What's for Sale:  K/S zines, new or used, but no unauthorized copies, please.  Copies will be returned to you unsold.  Gen Star Trek zines, too, are acceptable for sale.  A moderate number of zines from other fandoms will also be accepted at the discretion of our orphan zine coordinator.

Pricing:  A 15% commission is taken on all sales to support the expenses of the convention.  So keep that in mind when pricing your zines. 

How to get the zines to the convention:  You can bring your zines with you to the convention if you are attending (you are, aren't you?) or you can mail them to our orphan zine coordinator at:

Please don't send any zines until February 1, 2004.  We'll start accepting them at that time. 

No matter what way you'll be getting the zines to the convention, please fill out the Zine Sales Control Sheet.  Fill it out according to the directions and send it or bring it with your zines.  We'll need it to keep an accurate accounting of what's sold and how much you are owed. 

Tell us how many zines you'll be bringing before the con:  Please email us at kiscon2004@aol.com before March 10, 2004 to let us know how many zines you'll have for the orphan zine table.  We need to figure our space in the dealer's room fairly exactly. 

How zines will be returned to you if unsold:  If you are present at the con, and some of your zines remain unsold, you might want to take them home with you.  If you can't do that (you already have too much in your suitcases from your profligate fling in the Dealer's Room) or if you aren't attending the con (boy, you missed a good one!), then we'll mail you your unsold zines via the USPS, insured.  We'll subtract postage from your proceeds, or, if that isn't enough to cover postage, then we'll send them COD. 

How you'll be paid:  KiScon 2004 will send payment by check no later than April 30, 2004.
