We invite all members of the convention to join the KiScon2004Members Yahoo mailing list. It's the best way to meet your fellow con attendees and to keep up to date with any con details. Have some questions? This is the perfect place to ask the convention committee staff. To join, just click HERE and you'll be taken to the free registration page.
Want to help support our con charity and the con as well? Send us your donations for our Silent Auction. We'll take K/S items (zines, artwork, etc.), Star Trek items (dolls, puzzles, books, etc.), and general items as well, so long as they truly have some interest and value. Have a service to donate? (For example: you're a licensed masseuse and you're willing to give a massage on Sunday afternoon after the con.) Contact our Silent Auction coordinator for an okay at kiscon2004@aol.com. Send donations to:

A convention like KiScon 2004 is truly a community effort, and we are happy to receive donations of all sorts. For example, the wonderful prizes for our raffles are being donated by convention committee members, and so are some of the prizes already in the silent auction. If you'd like to make a donation of any sort (for example, last con several folks donated zines for sale to the Orphan Zine table to support the convention), we'd love to hear from you! Contact us at kiscon2004@aol.com
All the KiScon meeting rooms are smoke-free zones, but the hotel does offer smoking sleeping rooms for those who want them. In the public areas of the hotel, guests can smoke in a game/lounge area in the first floor lobby that is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This smoking area is situated about halfway between the meeting rooms and the hospitality suite, up a short flight of stairs in the middle of the large lobby, so you can stop on your way from one KiScon function room to another to have a smoke. You can also smoke in the bar/lounge, but that's open limited hours.
The Con Suite is the Brock Suite on the fourth floor, directly opposite the banks of elevators. It's large and functional, featuring lots of space to put your feet up and relax. We'll be stocking it with food and drink to keep you going throughout the weekend, and there will be plenty to read and do in the suite as well. Join us here on Saturday morning for the all-con informal breakfast. There will be an extra television and VCR to play that video on the schedule that you missed, or any songvids you want to share with friends, etc.
We'll be trying to keep the Con Suite open as many hours as we can, but that will depend on volunteers willing to help us out. We'll be signing folks up at Registration on Friday morning, so think about donating an hour or two of your time. Thanks!
The Holiday Inn features the Circle Spur Grille, a full service restaurant presenting breakfast, lunch and dinner with a Southwestern flair. There's also the Terrace Café in the lobby of the hotel. It's open from 5 a.m. through midnight. It features Pizza Hut Pizza, a deli, an Expresso Bar, smoothies, beer and wine. Finally there's the Circle Spur Saloon, which is a country western bar with the biggest dance floor in the area.
Just next door to the hotel is a Bennigan's restaurant, where we'll be enjoying our Thursday Pre-Con dinner as a group. Then next to that there's a Jack in the Box and next to that a McDonald's. Within a short walking distance across one major street (you're still just about a block from the hotel) there's a Subway, an Italian restaurant, a Burger King…. You get the picture! There are lots of eating choices nearby.
For those who want to venture just a little further afield, the complimentary van service the hotel offers will go within a one mile radius of the hotel, and there are lots of other restaurants in that area, including a Red Lobster, a Denny's, an Olive Garden, and a Mexican restaurant.
