DATES

KiScon 2004 will be held from Noon on Friday, March 26, 2004 through 4:30 p.m. Sunday, March 28, 2004.

But we have pre-con and after-con scheduled activities, too.

Pre-Con

Join us at Bennigan's restaurant, next door to the hotel, for our pre-con Dinner and lots of eager, enthusiastic conversation.  Here's the chance to greet old friends and make new ones.  Lots of folks shared dinner with us here last time, at KiScon 2001, where the decibel level was impressive. The con suite will be open by Thursday afternoon, too. 

After-Con

After the convention closes down late Sunday afternoon (the final program on the panel schedule will be awards for our various contests), activity shifts to the con suite through the wee hours, where all are invited to join us in hearty conversation, vigorous debate and the viewing of whatever vids you want to pop in the VCR.  Not to mention the dinner we'll organize. 

On Monday morning, join us for a final meal together in the hotel restaurant.  Say so long but not good-bye!

Why the last weekend in March?

You mean, besides finding good hotel rates and trying to position the con far enough away from Shore Leave while still avoiding bad weather? 

Two words:  K/S Day

K/S Day has been celebrated on March 24 for the last several years, and so we have tried to pick a convention weekend close to that date. It helps that two birthdays are celebrated on March 22 and March 26.  We co-opt them as birthdays for James Kirk and Spock, and so we have our famous Friday Night Birthday Party at each con to celebrate.
