THE KISCON

COMMUNITY COLLECTIBLES

TABLE

Sometimes you just have an item or two that you wish you could sell at a convention.  You just know that somebody would really appreciate the Kirk and Spock magnets that have lived on your file cabinet forever;  they'd like a new home!  But you sure aren't going to purchase a table in the dealer's room just for them!

The solution is the KiScon 2004 Community Collectibles Table.  Bring what you want and we'll be happy to sell it for you at a 15% consignment fee.  KiScons 1 and 2 did a thriving business in collectibles that went to new homes, and we hope to do the same in 2004.

What's for Sale:  Fannish items of all sorts, though of course K/S or Star Trek items get the best table space.  Items of general interest can be sold, too, such as your complete collection of Lost in Space tapes or your Aunt Matilda's crocheted tea cozy.

Pricing:  A 15% commission is taken on all sales to support the expenses of the convention.  So keep that in mind when pricing your merchandise.

How to get the items to the convention:  You can bring your merchandise with you to the convention if you are attending (you are, aren't you?) or you can mail them to our Community Collectibles coordinator at:

Please don't send any merchandise until February 1, 2004.  We'll start accepting it at that time.

No matter what way you'll be getting your precious merchandise for sale to the convention, please fill out the Collectibles Sales Control Sheet.   Fill it out according to the directions and send it or bring it with your stuff.  We'll need it to keep an accurate accounting of what's sold and how much you are owed.

Tell us what you'll be bringing before the con:  Please email us at kiscon2004@aol.com before March 10, 2004 to let us know what you'll have for the community collectibles table.  We need to figure our space in the dealer's room fairly exactly.

How merchandise will be returned to you if unsold:  If you are present at the con, and some of your items remain unsold, you might want to take them home with you.  If you can't do that (you already have too much in your suitcases from your profligate fling in the Dealer's Room) or if you aren't attending the con (boy, you missed a good one!), then we'll mail you your unsold items via the USPS, insured.  We'll subtract postage from your proceeds, or, if that isn't enough to cover postage, then we'll send them COD.

How you'll be paid:  KiScon 2004 will send payment by check no later than April 30, 2004.
